In the southern part of Spain, the coast of the Mediterranean sea is known as Costa del Sol. It is a famous and popular destination for tourists to visit. 60km north west of Barcelona lies a mountain range called Montserrat. It is also a religious center. Cadaques is a beautiful township on the Costa Brava. It is located in a natural harbor in the Cap de Creus peninsula. 100km south of Barcelona is located the town of Tarragona. There are some best preserved Roman ruins in Tarragona.
Figueres is a small town in the north of Barcelona. This town houses the Dali Museum that is known for its collection of surrealist master pieces. You need at least five days to see Barcelona and these places nearby. You may rent a car or use the train services.
Among all the places of interest to tourists in Spain a special mention should be made about Alcazar Seville. Thousands from across the world visit the Alcazar Seville every year. It is a royal palace in the city of Seville. It was a Moorish fort in the pre-historic era. Later the fort was gradually increased in size. One can see the Moorish architecture reflected in the palace.
Many tourists have rated this palace as one of the most beautiful palaces in the world. The construction was started way back in 1364. Alcazar Seville is divided into various parts and sections some of which are Puerta del Leon, La Casa de Contratacion and Patio de la Monteria. It is said that tourists never miss a trip to Alcazar Seville when they make a visit to the country of Spain.
